Teyana Taylor, Patricia Arquette, Maude Apatow, Sombr, and Tate McRae were among the guests gathered at Valentino‘s Los Angeles party recently.
They were photographed at an event to celebrate the new book created with photographer Mark Borthwick, offering a poetic visual interpretation of the Maison’s new Haute Couture collection on Thursday night (April 29).
“An evening of friends, discoveries, and encounters around Specula Mundi in California,” shared the official Valentino Instagram account on their post about the evening.
WWD shared additional details about the event and fashion show, including how the crowd gathered at the Marciano Art Foundation to check out a Kaiserpanorama installation and a recreation of Alessandro Michele‘s “Specula Mundi” couture show in Paris.
The group of creatives also included Archie Madekwe, Charlotte Lawrence, Devon Lee Carlson, Dree Hemingway, Hannah Einbinder, Jordan Firstman, Maika Monroe, Mindy Kaling, Owen Thiele, and Paul W. Downs.
“Produced in a limited edition of 1,500 copies, ‘Specula Mundi’ (Latin for “mirror of the world”) spans 422 images across 260 pages, available from May 11 in select Valentino boutiques worldwide for $350,” shares WWD.
Maude wore a short floral Valentino dress and talked about being inspired by the installation.
“I love a girly, delicate, glamorous look,” she said. “I’m a huge fan of everything that Alessandro does. He’s such an incredible artist.”
