Along with her message, Mindy shared a photo of herself laying in a hospital bed while giving the thumbs up to the camera.
If you didn’t know, Mindy was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. In an interview with People in 2017, Mindy recalled getting tired on walks before receiving her diagnosis. Within five years, she underwent radiation, chemotherapy and a double mastectomy within five years.
“It kept spreading and coming back,” she said at the time. “I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it would. And then I’d wait for another shoe to drop, and it would. I was frustrated and enraged. I couldn’t control any of this. I couldn’t fix it.”
Mindy was declared cancer-free in 2017.
She did not disclose what type of cancer was battling this second time.
