Jonah Scott is one of the busiest voice actors in anime right now, and there’s a good chance you’ve already heard his voice in some of your favorite series.
The actor first broke out as Legoshi in Netflix’s hit series BEASTARS, based on the popular manga set in a world of anthropomorphic animals. His performance as the conflicted wolf earned critical acclaim, and even a nomination for Best Voice Artist Performance at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The series is currently streaming, and the second part of its final season just arrived in March.
Since then, Jonah has continued to expand his resume with major roles across anime and gaming: he can be heard as Kokushibo in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle, which broke global box office records with a massive opening weekend, and as Katakuri in the long-running hit One Piece.
He also voices Oliver Aiku in Blue Lock, and plays Aiden Caldwell in theDying Light franchise. Beyond his on-screen work, he has built an impressive following online, with hundreds of thousands of fans across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
He’s also known in the VTuber space under the name Alpha Aniki, and frequently appears at conventions both in the U.S. and abroad.

- I’m missing a molar on the top right side of my mouth. As a result, my right canine tooth has grown longer to compensate for my bite. I can’t get an implant because I waited too long!
- I was on the high school football and track teams just long enough to keep the sweats they gave us for signing up. The funding for our sports teams was pretty generous, and the sweats were high quality—I still have them!
- I just got a puppy! He’s a long-haired miniature dachshund and my best buddy now. He ate my good tie, but we’re still cool.
- I’m from Cincinnati! The Ohio Valley has a historically neutral American accent, which made it a great place to grow up as a voice actor.
- I still add water to my shampoo and conditioner bottles to make them last longer. It just makes sense.
- I love to cook! My favorite meals to prepare are dishes that are new or unfamiliar to me.
- I’m a drummer and a metal vocalist. My band has a 10-song original album out! We’re currently working on a live show format for a VTuber, so there are a lot of technical challenges.
- I’m very addicted to caffeine.
- I didn’t get paid for acting until about seven years ago.
