Victoria Beckham and Tom Cruise helped honor David Beckham with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday (June 12) in Hollywood, Calif.
The 51-year-old soccer star was honored with his own ceremony that day, with his wife and longtime friend sharing words for the special moment.

Also stepping out were three of David and Victoria‘s children – Harper, 14, Cruz, 21, and Romeo, 23, who was also joined by his girlfriend Kim Turnball.
David‘s other longtime pals Eva Longoria and husband Jose Baston, and Robbie and Claudine Keane, were in attendance as well.
This marks only the fifth athlete to receive a star on the Walk of Fame, but the fourth since the Sports Entertainment category was first introduced in 2021.
Other athletes with stars include Billie Jean King, Michael Strahan and Carl Weathers, as well as Muhammad Ali, who received a star in 2002 in the Live Performances category.

David recently opened up about receiving the big honor.
“I actually can’t believe it,” he told Variety. “I remember walking in Hollywood and looking for the stars, and all these years later, knowing that I’ll have my own star, it’s a huge honor. America has always meant so much to me.”
All I wanted to be was a successful soccer player for Manchester United and England. That’s all I cared about. I didn’t care about the fame, the wealth, all the admiration you get. All I cared about was being a soccer player. So now, having a star, becoming a ‘sir,’ all these things that have come with the career that I’ve had, I feel very lucky.
David‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is in a prime location – in front of Ovation Hollywood, right by the iconic Dolby Theatre. For the Sports Entertainment category, his star features an athletic trophy on it.
