Gypsy Rose Blanchard is opening up about her mother Dee Dee Blanchard‘s final moments.
The 34-year-old made an appearance on We Need to Talk, where she got candid about her mother’s interaction with then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn before she was stabbed to death in 2015.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Recalls Hearing Dee Dee Blanchard Scream
“I heard screaming. It was a horrible sound. It was screaming. It was shock,” Gypsy Rose recalled.
“I almost think I heard ‘Who are you?’ was asked.”
Gypsy Rose Says Nicholas Godejohn Responded, ‘I Am Death’
“And he responded, ‘I am death.’ So I do know that was probably what I heard,” she went on to say.
Gypsy Rose Says She Was in a State of Shock Afterward
“I felt like I wanted to go and help her, but I was terrified at the same time. Like my body was paralyzed. I couldn’t move. And I was so focused and trying to breathe and block it out,” Gypsy Rose reflected, adding that she heard “one sharp scream” before there was silence.
“I don’t think he said anything. He had cut his finger. And so he wanted me to bandage him up,” Gypsy Rose noted, adding she was “completely naked” in the moment because that’s what he wanted.
“And he wanted me to hug him. So there was this sort of embrace where I was in a state of shock. But I couldn’t believe what happened,” she said. Watch the full exchange above.

Gypsy Rose served eight years in prison before her December 2023 release, while her 37-year-old ex is serving a life sentence.
