Simu Liu seemingly comes to the defense of rising star Hudson Williams amid online racist attacks.
The 37-year-old fellow Asian-Canadian actor took to Threads to call out a sensationalized headline/post about recently resurfaced photo of the 25-year-old Heated Rivalry star.
“for an organization that has become synonymous with clickbait to never grow, never evolve, never have a moment of self awareness, and just carry on publishing vile sensationalist bullsh-t like this is just sad,” he wrote. “stop picking on people of colour for absolutely nothing.”
Simu then responded to a post asking if he weighed in on “dumb, racist, homophobic sh-t,” followed by a similar post on his own main feed.
Soo I have this very specific trauma attached to people on the internet fabricating things about me and twisting things into a massive hate campaign when I first broke out. The Shang Chi actor then liked a reply to his post, thanking him for supporting Hudson.
Another person apologized he had to go through that.
“nah don’t worry I’m good now! But I absolutely f-cking refuse to sit back and let it happen to other people,” Simu responded.
Simu is no stranger to calling things out on social media and more.
Back in November 2025, he hit back at criticism of superhero movies, and later that month, slammed Hollywood for backsliding on Asian representation.
Simu is set to reprise his Marvel role in an upcoming movie!
