Broadway stars stepped out to celebrate the Fourth of July!
Tony nominee Luke Evans and Tony winner Shoshanna Bean were among the celebs attending the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks event on Saturday (July 4) held at Pier 17 in New York City.
The 50th annual Macy’s show was broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock simultaneously, featuring performances by Noah Kahan, Post Malone, Salt-N-Pepa, Bebe Rexha, Shaboozey, Blake Shelton and Alexia Jayy.
For those catching the fireworks show, they saw more than 85,000 shells in 30 vibrant colors – paired with a laser show from the Brooklyn Bridge – delivering breathtaking, awe-inspiring effects.
The fireworks show featured a 27-minute score composed by Grammy winner Jason Howland and featuring vocals from The Voice season 29 winner Alexia Jayy. NBC notes the music is inspired “by the enduring spirit of America, the soundtrack reimagines the iconic sounds of more than 50 years of beloved summer classics. Serving as the emotional heartbeat of the pyrotechnic display, the score, designed in perfect harmony with stage lighting and lasers, will set the tone for a powerful and unforgettable celebration.”
Also in attendance were current Broadway stars including Luke‘s The Rocky Horror Show castmates Josh Andres Rivera, Harvey Guillen, Stephanie Hsu, and Rachel Dratch, & Juliet‘s Joey Fatone and Chrissy Metz, Ragtime‘s Joshua Henry and more.
