Luke Wilson is breaking his silence following news that he’s a dad!
Earlier this week, it was revealed that the 54-year-old Legally Blonde actor quietly welcomed his first child with girlfriend Kendall Yates.
While stepping out for the premiere of his new Netflix comedy series The Hawk, Luke shares his first comments about fatherhood.
“It’s just what everybody says about it, but I’m just trying to do a good job,” Luke told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m very proud to be a dad.”
If you didn’t know, Luke and Kendall, 24, have been romantically linked since 2023 and made their public debut as a couple at the June 2024 premiere party for his movie Horizon: An American Saga.
As of right now, Luke and Kendall have not publicly shared any other details about the baby, including the infant’s name or sex.
Luke stars alongside Will Ferrell, Molly Shannon, and Jimmy Tatro in The Hawk, which hits Netflix on July 16.
Here’s the synopsis: “Lonnie Hawkins, (Ferrell) 2004’s number one golfer, struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet. His ex-wife and his son Lance, golf’s new golden boy, know he’s through.
