Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Alex Warren has dropped his brand new song “Fine Place to Die” and you can read the lyrics right here.
The song was released amid Alex‘s Finding Family on the Road Tour, which is currently traveling around Europe ahead of North America dates this summer followed by shows in Asia and Australia. He has been performing the song at live shows, but now fans can listen to the studio version.
“Fine Place to Die” is about “how love can provide comfort even in the darkest times while the ‘world’s on fire,’” according to the singer’s label.
Alex sings on the chorus, “The world’s on fire, I burn/ Happily dancing with you / Take my body, and I’ll be / The soul you come crashing into / If it has to be the end / All I ask is that I get / To burn with you / To burn with you.”
The bridge is especially catchy, with Alex singing, “Breathe me in, breathe me out / ‘Til the walls come crumbling down / Hold me close, love me now ‘Til there’s nothing left of this town.”
